What a fantastic year of piano lessons it has been. As we approach the end of our regular session and look forward to summer, I am absolutely delighted with the progress each student has made and look forward to another year of perseverance, positivity, self-expression, and the pursuit of musical excellence.
Here are a few highlights from our ’24-’25 session:
- We filmed “Cozy Fireside Piano” videos leading up to the holidays, featuring each student’s favorite songs to share with family and friends.
- Our students shone at the 2025 Winter Soiree Recital.
- Weekly attendance was high, and each and every student exhibited positivity and perseverance throughout the session while pursuing individual goals!
- Piano With Cassandra got a glow-up, with a new logo.
- We spent our year fully integrated with the new Student Portal and enjoyed a much more convenient logistical experience for both parents and the teacher.
- Piano With Cassandra invested in the future: procuring a new digital piano setup and adding a plethora of music books, games, and other resources to the studio library.
- Cassandra took part in a weekend full of training sessions and networking at the KMTA/MMTA conference hosted by UMKC, joined The Frances Clark Center for Keyboard Pedagogy with its vast body of resources, and enrolled in three ongoing professional development classes focused on piano pedagogy for early levels, technique and principles of sonatinas, and the works of the great romantic masters.
Not only have my students made great progress, it becomes evident as I compile these highlights that the plans long-past laid for Piano With Cassandra are bearing fruit. I am encouraged when I consider the increased resources Piano With Cassandra is able to provide for each student and the bright prospect of continuing to grow and offer high-quality and accessible neighborhood piano lessons for many years to come!
